Judges Need to Be Held Accountable – Because Blood Is on Their Hands

Oh, look, another day ending in "y" – another violent predator that some robe-wearing genius decided was "no threat to society" is back on the street committing murder, rape, or mayhem. And the judge? Safely behind armed security, sipping coffee, collecting a fat taxpayer paycheck, zero consequences. Funny how that works.

Take Decarlos Brown Jr. – this career criminal had been released by judges TWELVE separate times before he allegedly stabbed a Ukrainian refugee to death on a Charlotte light rail in broad daylight. Twelve. That's not oversight, that's a subscription service for murder. Republican Rep. Randy Fine had it right: "It’s easy to play Russian roulette with the public when you’ve got an armed bailiff glued to your hip.

Or how about the "supervised release" clown show in NYC? Jason Ayala gets sprung on supervised release for violent robbery charges, then – the very next day – goes on a sexual assault rampage against five victims, including kids. The judge thought "supervision" would stop him. Turns out the only thing supervised was the victims' trauma.

Remember Frank Abrokwa? The gentleman who smeared his own feces in a woman's face on the subway. Released without bail because, hey, why not? He went on to attack more people. The judge? Still employed, still untouchable.

Jacoby Tillman – accused of attempted murder and sexual battery after brutalizing a woman on a running trail – had four prior felony cases and still walked on a laughable $9,500 bond. Florida judges apparently think "repeat violent offender" is just a personality type.

Darrell Moore – convicted of murder as a teen, gets compassionate release because feelings, then nine months later executes another man in the street. The judge who cut him loose basically gift-wrapped a body bag.

And let's not forget the countless "low-bond" all-stars in places like Seattle, Denver, and Chicago where judges release armed robbers, rapists, and shooters because "presumption of release" sounds progressive until someone's daughter is the next statistic.

These aren't tragic accidents. These are predictable outcomes of judges who care more about emptying jails for clout than protecting the public they swore an oath to serve. They know the rap sheets. They see the priors. They hear the victims begging "please keep him locked up." And they shrug, stamp "released," and go home to their gated neighborhoods.

It's past time judges face consequences – civil liability, removal from the bench, hell, make them post bond for every scumbag they unleash. Because right now the message is clear: if you're a violent felon, the bench has your back. If you're a law-abiding citizen? Good luck, peasant.
